heart it: ootd #1

The sun is finally shining and that means cracking out the ripped denim hotpants...cue this gorge top from H&M. A pretty yellow with floral blue and purple patterns looks so cute with a pair of denim shorts and sandals. The top is loose fitting and has thin straps that cross over at the back adding subtle, pretty detail. I bought it and put it on as soon as I got it home that's how much I likes it. The top is perfect for summer, and the best part...? It's £7.99.....

Who knew clear shiny plastic could make a girl so happy.....

If you don't own any muji acrylic storage you ain't lived...

There is something so fulfilling about neatly colour coding make up in these cute little draws, and I for one would happily do it all day. As a storage solution they're compact, easy to clean, transparent so you can easily find what you're looking for, chic and stylish, go with any decor, adjustable so you can personalise a storage system, affordable...need I go on?

I have three of the small acrylic drawers found here and the acrylic pen pot rectangular found here.
The piece on top with divided into sections for lipsticks I found in Homesense so check out a store if you have one near as they have some great pieces.

Happy make up organising...

A scent for spring...

This is the first Jo Malone cologne I have owned and after months of admiring from afar, I am now utterly obsessed with this scent. The Peony and Blush Suede Cologne is one of the Jo Malone classics and you can tell as soon as you smell it why it's so popular. The floral tones are perfect for this time of year, and although the scent is quite heavy it is refreshing and uplifting. A little goes a long way with the Jo Malone scents and even a 10 spritz a time perfume lover like me can go with only a couple from this cute little bottle. The scent lasts forever and I find even after washing the scent lingers on items of clothing. Yes, toting a Jo Malone scent will set you back £39 for 30ml or £78 for 100ml but for me its totally worth it and the shopping experience is second to none. Even the website is a dream, the scents arranged into categories; citrus, fruity, light floral, floral, spicy and woody. This makes for a somewhat tailored experience while you browse the collections. Next on my list, a candle....

I recently went on a little shopping trip, or several *slaps hand*, and picked up a few pieces and I thought I would share. Primark have some real gems at the minute and I am loving the statement necklace I picked up, such an easy piece to wear. I've also been dying to try the floral leggings that seem to be everywhere at the minute and after trawling the rails I think I may have found *gulps* the right pair....
